Simply one of the best little volumes ever published. In it, Johnston traces the history of prayer-meetings and their influence in the revivals that took place in Scripture, in the early church, reformation, among the Covenanters and Puritans, the Great Awakening, and on through the Prayer Revivals of 1857-1859. A wonderful and challenging read.
