Kyoto, Japan, 2011 - The famous bamboo groves of Arashiyama are captivating and mystical. Wandering through these giants is humbling as the towering canopy seems to block out the outside world, creating a tranquil and introspective experience. The two characters walking on the path ahead appear to be old friends sharing memories of many years, enjoying the strength their legs still have to carry them, as well as the strength their companionship offers in their golden years. Bamboo also does not grow as an individual stalk, given that it is a grass. A single shoot of bamboo will eventually sprout more companions, connected by a root mass under the ground, giving "Strength in Companionship" as the plant spreads.
