Prince, Thomas Jr. [ed.] The Christian History; Containing Accounts of the Revival of Propagation of Religion in Great-Britain, America, &c. for the Year 1744. Boston. Samuel Kneeland. 1745. 416pp.

Perhaps the most important revival periodical ever issues, American divine and historian, Thomas Prince [1687-1758 ], recognizing the historical importance of the Great Awakening, took correspondence of first-hand experiences of the revival from every quarter. His son, Thomas Prince Jr. was the primary editor. Jonathan Edwards sent in reports, William and Gilbert Tennent did as well. Even radicals like James Davenport sent in their accounts, including whole towns under conviction, prostrations, visions and trances, conversions, prayer meetings, and more. 

This was the second year issued, containing numbers 53-104. Original calf, heaviy rubbed, joints tender; interior is generally clean, crisp and solid. 

Also contains an interesting period inscription on the title related to the ongoing revivals: "Latter Day Glory Begun" And then, again, "Other Persons have written concerning what might be Expected in the Times of Latter Day Glory as Future. Here look upon Latter day Glory as actually allready come. Already Begun upon the earth."

Very scarce; we do not recall ever handling another copy.
