Rather scarce early edition of Silas Andrus' "Hieroglyphic Bible." This is the Fourth Edition, but the earliest edition on the market by quite a long shot. Designed for children as essentially the first "Children's Bibles," by nature of their primary consumers, they often failed to survive.

Original quarter leather over marbled boards; very solid. Front 1/3 of board at base lacking, chipped and abraded at extremities. Interior very solidly bound with some foxing throughout and an occasional small tear.
