In 1941 at 19 years of age, Ilsa Engel came to the US from Paris where she had been interred in a French concentration camp. She quickly built a reputation as a high end designer in New York creating first glamorous & feminine attired in the 40s & 50s, adding feminine work appropriate clothing to her repertoire in the 60s. I cannot find much information about her after that.
