Rendered in the most eye-catching shade of red silk chiffon and embellished with silver lined glass bugle beads, red iridescent sequins and silver claw set rhinestones, this original 1950's cocktail dress is just the piece for that special occasion.  

The straight neckline of the dress sets off the strapless cut.  The elegant pleated and fitted boned bodice, is decorated with a panel of trailing sequin and bead embellishments in a curved diagonal design across the bodice joining the back of the dress along the waistline. The cinched in waistline, sets off the elegant drape of the silk chiffon skirt, which gathers in pleats along the waist seam. Finished with a matching red rayon lining, this beautiful dress showcases the iconic silhouette of the era.

Closures: This dress fastens along the back with a 13 inch metal zip and a hook and eye

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition. The rayon lining of the skirt has a few quite large marks to it. These are not apparent externally. A few very small scattered pin holes to the silk chiffon overlay of the skirt line. These minor details are in no way apparent when the dress is being worn.  Please refer to the photographs as they form part of the condition report.
