A rare piece to behold, this original 1950's Lilli Ann dress, rendered in a black soft wool mix, with white cotton accents and trailing soutache braiding, is the perfect piece to welcome to your seasonal wardrobe.  

The rounded neckline of the dress is framed by a Peter Pan collar, which boasts a white cotton panel with a black border, finished with trailing soutache braiding and a central black faille bow positioned beneath the collar. The simple shoulder line, sets off the 3/4 length sleeves, which are edged with turned up cuffs, with white and black details finished with soutache braiding and rounded details along each external cuff side. The fitted bodice showcases Princess seams which run from each shoulder line along the length of the bodice. The cinched in waistline is accented by a matching fabric belt, which draws the eye to the fitted hipline panel. The full circle cut of the skirt is set off by its pleated design, and detailed curved panel along the front of the hipline, which contrasts the pointed seam panel along the back, completing this dress in an iconic 1950's Lilli Ann silhouette. This dress has been photographed with a medium petticoat for added volume. The petticoat is not included within the listing.

Condition: This dress is in near perfect vintage condition, with light yellowing and discolouration along the edges of the white panel of the collar, this is where the dress has been close to the skin. This is not visible when the dress is being worn and only apparent under very close inspection.

Washing instructions: This garment should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cool water.
