A classic silhouette rendered in a tickle me pink matelasse satin, with matching ostrich feather accents, this original 1960's dress and capelet set, completed with matching silk shoes, is the perfect ensemble for that special occasion.  

The bateau cut neckline of the dress is framed by wide shoulder straps that set off the sleeveless cut. The fitted bodice of the dress is accented by tailored Princess seams, and a central seam, that draw the eye to the fitted waistline and A line cut skirt. The V shaped backline of the dress, is decorated with a central matching satin bow, which aids in concealed the metal zip fastening. The dress is fully lined in silk taffeta.

The matching capelet, accented by edgings of ostrich feathers in a shade of flamingo pink, fastens along the front with two hook and loops concealed beneath a large decorative satin bow. The cut of the capelet, cocoons structurally around the silhouette, boasting gathered pleats along each front hem corner, allowing for the cape to round elegantly.

Finished with matching matelasse satin sling back heels, which boast rounded point toes and scalloped details along the collar . The satin covered heels set off the sling back design, with silver metal buckles. The shoes are accented by silver leather insoles and leather external soles.

Condition: This set is in near perfect vintage condition. 

Shoe Condition: Natural Wear to the leather soles and heels. Some discolouration to the satin matelasse along the base edges of the shoes that join the leather soles. Some glue residue and marks to the satin along the heels. Light and gentle surface marks to the satin matelasse throughout. Natural wear to the insoles. Please be realistic, these shoes have been worn and so therefore are never going to be perfection. Please refer to the photographs, as they form part of the condition report. 

 Dress Condition: This Dress is in perfect vintage condition .

Capelet Condition: A small age mark to the right hand side of the cape, this appears as a dark grey dot. A few very small pin sized black dots concealed within the lustre and texture of the matelasse satin.
