tribal runner features a compartment design composed of three amulets, each
filled with an octagon, ram's horn and symbolic tribal motifs. The compartments
are surrounded by an array of botehs, animals, ram's horn, rosettes,
eight-point stars, latch hooks, double crosses. This is a fine example of
primitive charm and nomadic vibes. Rendered in variegated shades of ink blue,
onyx, cerulean and salmon contrast against the creamy-beige field. The antique
Shirvan tribal runner is framed by alternating stair-step lozenges known as
stars and flanked by double guard bands known as running water bands which
represent inner purification and sustaining life.
