A wonderful little glimpse into the business side of Spurgeon. When I read this letter I was reminded of his life insurance form that is on display at Spurgeon College. When it asked if he had any other doctors, he wrote, "Heavens no. One's enough to do me in," or something to that effect. 

The present letter [and another we offer] has to do with the sale of some land owned I believe by the Tabernacle that was being sold to another church.

I am glad to see that you are doing as I suggest; but I was not aware of what had been done; no one having communicated with me.

I cannot tell when Mr. Page will move unless you urge him on. Do not tell him that I say this; but it is the case that like all other lawyers he takes long time. 

I am ready to sign at any time, & also to hand over the receipts.
