A superb read. This one of the later editions of Kennedy's work, which alone included the excellent 100+pp memoir of Kennedy giving accounts of revivals under his pastoral charge, including those led by the famed Lachlan Mackenzie. 

The main body of the work describes the deep spirituality in the Highlands of Scotland during the 17th century as exhibited by the Covenanters, etc.
