Metalline, sterile 

The sterile special dressing Metalline by Lohmann-Rauscher has a three-layered construction, consisting of an aluminised wound-side layer, an absorbent layer made of non-woven material and a thin non-woven layer that makes up the back of the dressing.

The aluminium steaming produces a porous, anti-adhesive layer that prevents it from sticking to the wound, but which allows exudate to diffuse into the absorbent layer. The pores in the Metalline special dressing ensure an unrestricted supply of air to the wound and that blood and exudate are transported from the wound and into the absorbent layer by the capillary action.

The sterile Metalline special dressings are available individually sterile-packed in various sizes.
