• Pinsa is not a pizza, as all its admirers will confirm to you, but a delicious dish with a strong identity. The first difference between these two specialties is immediately apparent. Its name likely comes from the Latin verb “pinsère”, meaning “to stretch”, which defines its traditional and distinctive shape.
  But the uniqueness of Pinsa also lies in its ingredients. The base is prepared with a mix of flours combined with extra virgin olive oil, salt, yeast, and just the right amount of water during the kneading phase. Its history takes us back to the elegance of ancient Rome, and its flavor is so “epic” that it was even mentioned in Virgil's Aeneid. 
  
  Top it with mozzarella, cold cuts, grilled vegetables or vegetables in oil: add your favorite ingredients and bake it in the over to be enveloped by its aroma and to be captivated by its wonderful flavor.
