The primary goal of the artist was to utilize Blue as the dominant color in a contemporary, well-proportioned geometric design. By incorporating other significant colors and observing their placement on the canvas, the artwork generates a captivating dynamism and manipulation of color intensity. Inspired by Mondrian, the artist meticulously employed the 'Golden Mean' ratio to precisely divide the composition. Tory Burke, the artist, utilized a painterly technique involving rubbed linen, resulting in a tactile texture and organic quality to the artwork.

The Process

Each original artwork is painted by hand in Tory Burke’s Melbourne studio. Using layered oil techniques, the composition is developed gradually, moving from translucent tones through to deeper, richer layers, creating depth and texture across the surface.
