Another just spectacular example from a collector of four decades into acquiring beautiful examples of classic texts. This example literally looks like someone just unpacked it and that it has never seen light of day since its originally 1857 issue date. Just beautiful.

Measuring 6 x 8.25 inches in full morocco with blind tooling and raised bands. The edges are brilliantly gilt in gold, marbled endpapers, and the illustrations themselves in a superb state of preservation. The only indication of previous use is previous owner's bookplate on the pastedown.
