Love Is in the Air was created to capture that feeling of joy that seems to drift through life unexpectedly — like little reminders that beauty, connection, and happiness are always floating around us if we slow down enough to notice them.

The hand-fired enamel centerpiece features playful floating hearts dancing across a soft robin’s egg blue background, almost like a spring sky filled with emotion and movement. The colors feel lighthearted and uplifting, while the organic patterns created during the firing process ensure that no two enamel pieces could ever be exactly alike.

I handcrafted every link in the adjustable chain from lightweight non-tarnishing aluminum, adding delicate blue accents that echo the soft sky tones in the enamel. The necklace hangs at approximately 24 inches and can easily be adjusted shorter depending on where you hook the clasp.

The back of the pendant is finished with textured wellness copper — a metal long appreciated for its grounding energy and natural conductive qualities. Many who wear copper jewelry feel connected to its warmth and earthy presence, making this piece not only artistic, but deeply personal to wear.

From cutting and shaping the metal to building the enamel through multiple kiln firings, every step of this necklace was created entirely by hand in my Appalachian studio.
