We love this Centaur® Blue Steel Slow Twist Tom Thumb Pelham Bit because it combines the action of a snaffle bit with a curb bit. The slow twist is great if you have a leaner or a non-stopper that has become dull to the normal smooth bit edge. This bit requires an expert hand.  

Blue Steel bits are made of a technologically advanced version of Black Steel (traditional Sweet Iron).
Blue Steel oxidizes faster and easier compared to Black Steel. It will Oxidize when in contact with air and humidity. This surface corrosion tastes sweet and naturally stimulates additional saliva production, encouraging better acceptance of the bit by the horse.
