Vintage handwoven wool Persian rug. Features five central medallions woven in soft pink, red, and soft yellow with a field of deep charcoal. This rug shows a number of bird motifs woven throughout. Birds in Persian rugs can symbolize freedom, spirituality, and transcendence. They are often seen as messengers between the earthly realm and the divine, representing a connection between the material and the spiritual worlds. There is a double border on the rug showing both a geometric evil eye patter and a bird motif pattern. In good vintage condition.
