Excessively rare work on the slavery record of John C. Fremont during the 1856 Presidential election. No other copies on the market and very difficult to trace institutionally.

Interestingly enough, John Charles Fremont has variously cast as either too radically abolitionist [he abolished slavery in Missouri without any authority] or as politically motivated and therefore not dependable on the issue. He was running as a Republican in the 1856 election and his recent Nay vote on the Bill to abolish slavery in Washington D.C. [brought forward by William. H. Seward] is the point of contention in the present tractate.

Good condition, header trimmed, textually complete and sound. Removed from a sammelband at some point.
