Constructed from heavyweight 14.5oz denim, providing exceptional texture and structure. Unlike many modern skinny jeans made from lightweight fabrics, the substantial weight of the denim offers the support necessary to create clean stacking and natural wrinkles throughout the leg.

FIT

Built around the classic skinny jeans silhouette that has recently seen a strong resurgence. The pattern development draws inspiration from archival pieces such as the Dior Homme collection and various waxed denim releases, including notable pieces from UNDERCOVER. The result is a fit that remains slim and elongated without becoming overly restrictive,

balancing contemporary wearability with the attitude of classic skinny denim.

CONSTRUCTION

Each pair undergoes a hand-applied waxing process. The wax formula was developed with reference to the deep black, rubber-like finish seen on the iconic Dior Homme waxed denim from the early 2000s, creating a rich, glossy surface with depth and character.

The three-dimensional whiskering details are inspired by the complex claw-like fading found on the legendary Dior Homme "Luster" denim, paying homage to one of the most influential eras in modern menswear.

CONCEPT

The return of the skinny silhouette has reignited nostalgia for one of fashion's most defining periods. For us, the ultimate reference remains the era of Hedi Slimane at Dior Homme during the early 2000s.

When designing this piece, we deconstructed elements from those iconic collections and reinterpreted them through the RYE CHASIN lens. At the same time, inspiration was drawn from the metal hardware details frequently seen in vintage Italian denim and later revisited by contemporary designers. The industrial metal buckle detail reflects influences ranging from vintage luxury denim to the hardware-heavy aesthetic popularized by brands such as 1017 ALYX 9SM.

Before the era of oversized baggy denim, skinny jeans defined a generation. This piece combines those references into what we believe is the ultimate tribute to that iconic period of fashion history.
