For sale here is an Orvis SSS "Tarpon" 11-12 fly reel (I'm told SSS stood for "saltwater, salmon & steelhead). This reel was produced by STH, manufactured in Argentina and last made in 1988. Palmable rim. 2 1/2 to 1 multiplying gear ratio. Machined from aircraft grade aluminum. Anodized black and gold. Teflon & cork drag system. All parts are made of corrosion resistant materials. Right hand retrieve. Anti-reverse. Adjustable drag. Excellent working condition. 3 3/4" diameter, 1 3/16" wide spool and weighs 10 1/4 oz. Capacity WF12 plus 300 yards of 30# backing.
