Many secured heavy-duty metal slats that provide ample support, stability and air circulation for the mattress (no foundation or box spring needed). Two built bookshelves double as a ladder to let you access the loft bed with ease. Rounding out the design, the raised base creates 32.7" of under-bed space to accommodate the included rolling desk for a perfect study area.
