Judson, Adoniram. Revival and Practical Tracts. No. IV. On Plain Dress. A Letter to Female Members of Christian Churches by Dr. Judson, Missionary in Burmah. Glasgow. David Nasmith. Nd. c.1840.

We trace only one other example of a tractate from this series extant; thin paper, nearly ephemera. The work of Judson on dress was highly influential but survives in precious few copies. Another British imprint of the Judson tract only, the only other, of the same period, is on the market at c.$750. I handled one American edition perhaps 15 years ago. 

Original half calf, light chipping at head of spine, generally solid and clean with moderate rubbing.
