Tribal statement antiqued bronze earrings with gorgeous colour shifting dark peacock cultured Freshwater Pearls and handmade hypo-allergenic Niobium ear wires, for the Tribal/Gypsy/Fusion Bellydancer, BoHo Chic or Temple Goddess. These delicately detailed hoops, they have the look of old Hill Tribe earrings but they are much lighter, being made from Bronzed Tibetan Silver (lead free pewter). The pearls shimmer with hues of dark blue, green, purple and bronze.

✩Cultured Pearls✩
Cultured Pearls are real pearls, they have been made by the mollusc. Once the nucleus (usually a mother-of-pearl bead) is inserted into the oyster or mussels, the pearl growing process is the same as that of a natural pearl. Their outer coatings (Nacre) are the same material as a natural pearl, and they take years to form in a mollusc's mantle. Nacre is formed from iridescent layers of crystallised calcium carbonate. It’s pretty much impossible to tell the difference between a natural and cultured pearl by just looking at its outer appearance. The only way to make absolute certain whether a pearl is natural or cultured is to perform an x-ray of the internal structure of the pearl.

Pearls are natural wonders that have been treasured for centuries by cultures ancient and modern around the world. Greek mythology proclaimed pearls to be tears of joy shed by the goddess Aphrodite. Ancient Egyptians associated pearls with Isis, the goddess of healing and life. Pearls are the Birthstone for June and the Zodiac stone for Gemini.

Hand made Niobium ear wires come as standard on these earrings.
Earrings suitable for- pierced ears and because of the gypsy hoop style findings these earrings are also suitable to wear through gauged flesh tunnels.

Due to the integral design of the ear findings a direct swap for non-pierced finding is not available. But if you like this design I could make you something very similar with a non-pierced finding. Please message me if you are interested.

✩Niobium✩
The name comes from Greek mythology: Niobe, is the daughter of Tantalus.
Niobium is physiologically inert and thus hypo-allergenic. For this reason, niobium is found in many medical devices. Niobium can also be electrically heated and anodized, resulting in a wide array of colours using a process known as reactive metal anodizing which is useful in making jewellery, its natural colour is a silvery grey. The ear-wires are made from solid Niobium wire which In this instance is anodized to an antiqued bronze/gold colour. Niobium is an excellent choice for anyone with sensitive skin, especially for those allergic to nickel, or the metals added to 925 Silver or 9ct Gold alloys.
