Clearing storms in the mountainous Col de I'Alup area to the south east of Annecy in the Haute-Savoie of France provided wet but compelling views of the rock faces and mountain peaks as they emerged from the clouds and mist. The contrast between the emerging mountain and the green fields below separated by a band of cloud suggested they were from two different visons, hence the choice of the name "Above and Below". The flash of autumn colour provided some warmth to a cold day, and a point of interest.
