The concept behind Tupuārangi was inspired by nature above ground and the beautiful colors of the birds, particularly the kererū with its stunning magenta, purple, and blue feathers. This set represents the deep connection with the domains of Tāne, the atua of the forest, Haumietiketike, the atua of wild foods and insects, and Tūtewehiwehi, the father of reptiles, fern roots, nīkau, harakeke, and silver tree fern. A luminous feature was also included to capture the magical glow worm caves hidden within the forest.
