For sale here is a 3" Hardy St. George fly reel that features a silent check mechanism. You simply don't see many of these silent check Hardy reels on the resale market. Three-screw latch, uncracked agate line guide, nice leaded patina. The alloy foot has been filed on both ends. Small casting flaw in the frame as shown in the photos. The ebonite handle spins freely - the screw-head post is a replacement. The tensioner screw also may be a replacement but it works as intended.
