Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian rug. Measures 7’11”x5’2". Features a repeating mosaic kheshti pattern with a triple border and tribal evil eye motifs. This rug has muted indigo field with pops of red and orange. The rug is in good vintage condition.

Tribal evil eye motifs are often represented as a stylized eye or circular symbol with concentric shapes, is traditionally used as a protective charm to ward off negative energy and bad luck caused by envious glances or harmful intentions.
