Charming seems too kind a word for a work that is, well, absolutely blistering in its condemnation of sin and guilt and its pleas to find Christ. That said, I'll stick with it. A charming early 19th century imprint of what was first published in the 17th century by noted puritan, Joseph Alleine.
Alleine, Joseph. An Alarm to Unconverted Sinners in a Serious Treatise on Conversion. To which is Added the Author's Six Questions to the Unconverted and Counsels for the Converted. New York. American Tract Society. Nd. c.1830's. 164pp.
Quarter cloth with marbled boards. Minor rubbing, but very attractive. Some light scattered foxing; a few corners turned. Very solid and clean.
