After a few days of intermittent showers, first morning light sees Uluru nestled under a "Halo" of fog rising from its upper surface. A very slow air movement causes the fog to hang to the right, matching a similar shape in the heavy clouds above. Needless to say, there was no sunrise on this morning and the relatively cool blue light gave the rock a purple tinge. Uluru (Ayers Rock) is a sandstone monolith located in the Uluru Kata-Tjuta National Park in Australia's Northern Territory.
