As if from some fantasy or dream state, a passage seems to beckon between the orange lichen encrusted granite boulders, leading to a wide beam of light, like an illuminated pathway to the horizon, past the spire-like "Sloop Rock" and the rainbow behind it. This "Enchanted Pathway" can be found in the Bay of Fires on the north eastern coast of Tasmania, Australia. In 1773 by Captain Tobias Furneaux sailed past in HMS Adventure and named the area after the fires of Aboriginal people on the beaches that he could see in the distance.
