A really beautiful example of a'Kempis' devotional classic printed on fine quality paper by The Medici Society and bound in a polished blue calf with raised bands, tooled compartments, contrasting title and author labels in morocco, all gilt on edges and with truly luxurious and unusual period-endpapers. Stamped by Riviere & Son to interior of the flyleaf. 

The Medici Society at the time was known for partnering with luxury binders like Riviere, Sangorski and Sutcliffe, etc.,
