offered here is a flawless Babe Ruth autograph presented in bold black ink. Originally taken from a vintage album page, the signature displays incredible contrast and measures approximately 3.5" x .75".
The autograph has been cleanly affixed to a vintage 1940s Albertype Hall of Fame Plaque Postcard. This has become a common trend in our hobby over the years, as these postcards were originally issued in the 1940's right around the time of Ruth's passing. This resulted in a very brief window for Ruth to actually sign his name directly on the postcards, leaving a less-than-miniscule population known to exist. If an original signed postcard were ever to come to public auction, it would easily fetch well over $100k... that's how rare they are!! Over the years, Hall of Fame postcard collectors - recognizing the scarcity and eager to complete their sets - began affixing Ruth cuts neatly to the original postcard. The result, as presented here, is a perfect Ruth autograph with great display-value!
