Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian runner rug. Measures 12’x3’8”. Features three central medallions with tribal evil eye and floral motifs. This rug has a field of deep fuscia with hints of light charcoal, marigold and purples throughout. The rug is in good vintage condition.

In Persian tribal rugs, the evil eye motif is often integrated with other protective symbols such as stars, flowers, or animals. The repetition is believed to amplify its protective power. Beyond protection from the evil eye, these motifs can also symbolize good luck, spiritual protection, and the strength of the community.
