A very fine, unpilfered photograph album of approximately 150 photographs on 23 full pages detailing the travels, family life, and missionary work of H. E. Hinton and others of the Baptist Mission in Burmah, c.1920's and 1930's.
We have images of the missionaries reading individually with local Burmans, photographs of Burman pastors and evangelists with the missionaries, some candid family photos, photographs of marionettes probably used in the streets, on board the ship en route to / from Burmah, locals, landscapes, etc.,
Hinton was an important worker in the Burman field. In the reports filed by Mrs. H. E. Hinton and published by the American Baptist Missionary Society, they draw direct connectivity between their ongoing work and the original work of Adoniram Judson and company begun in 1813.
