Wonderful memoir of one of the "St. Andrews Seven," [see: here] the first series of missionaries sent out from the Free Church of Scotland that included Alexander Duff, John Adam, William Mackay, etc. Nesbit was missionary at India and died in 1855. The present volume is beautifully inscribed on the blank ffep from his widow to Mr. and Mrs. George Hamilton, long-time members of the Free Church of Scotland and heavy financiers of the early missionary movement.
