Known as the 'Jacaranda City,' Pretoria transforms every spring into a sea of purple blossoms, creating one of the most striking urban landscapes in the South Africa. The city has a rich history, and was founded way back in 1855 by Marthinus Wessel Pretorius, and in 1910 became the administrative capital of South Africa, a title it still holds today.
