3M™ Actisorb™ Silver 220

The antimicrobial 3M™ Actisorb™ Silver 220 activated charcoal dressing with silver binds bacteria and toxins that interfere with the healing process. The dressing is effective against a total of 150 microorganisms, including MRSA and VRE. It does not damage the host cell and does not prevent proliferation of fibroblasts. The activated charcoal dressing also maintains a moist wound environment and forms a barrier against bacterial invasion. By absorbing unpleasant odours that may be caused by wound exudate leakage, the dressing increases the patient's comfort.
