For sale here is a McMonies creel - Model 80 creel is size 5, very hard to find. Overall the creel is in excellent condition, with the exception of a broken carry strap on the back and the side zipper thread being detached from the frame for about 4 inches. Simply a gorgeous and classic creel that will look excellent anywhere you choose to display it. A fine weave split willow creel with wonderful embossing from McMonies with hand buck-stitching, zippered lid and zippered front pouch. You can find a similar McMonies creel on Page 81 of the book "The Art of the Creel". The metal cartouche mounted on the back of the creel is mis-spelled, as all are, with "MacMonies", an error on the part of the tag maker that McMonies accepted and used, with "Hand Made Portland, Ore" below the name.
