A fine group of five 1854-1858 [one later] letters by prominent Wesleyan-Methodist ministers, several with regard to the death of a Mr. Sercombe.

The letters include by Peter McKenzie [1824-1895], one of the most prominent Wesleyans of the 19th century; William Morley Punshon [1824-1881], another influential Wesleyan, multiple times President of the Conference, author, etc.; J. Wood, Wesleyan Minister of the Chelsea Circuit; J. Martin, Wesleyan Minister at Manchester; Gervase Smith, Wesleyan preacher and hymnist. 

We have also included, as it came with them, a 1941 letter from Frederic Platt, Warden at John Wesley's Chapel in Bristol.
