A really lovely set of the most important edition of Horne's classic Introduction with important additions by one of the most influential biblical scholars of the late 19th century, Samuel Prideaux Tregelles. 

Of special notes are extensive sections on eschatology. Tregelles was post-tribulational and his works here reflect that perspective. It seems this was likely Tregelles most substantial investment in the work.

All four large 8vos bound in matching full calf bindings with raised bands and contrasting title and volume labels. Foredges are marbled to match endpaper marbling. Textually these are absolutely crisp and clean. Spines have some rubbing, but very handsome. Light loss at head of volume one as shown.
