Very rare early American Free-Masonry Imprint. The Tennessee Lodge of Research's 2010 report indicates only six American printed Free-Masonry works in America after Benjamin Franklin's 1730 Mystery of Free-Masonry over the course of the succeeding hundred years, this being one of them, and right up there in scarcity.

The only known holdings are the Astor Library [1866 Catalogue] and the New York Public Library. These are, however, likely one and the same copy as the Astor Library formed the basis for the initial New York Public Library collection. So perhaps only one other copy extant and perhaps the only copy to come to the open market.

Inscribed at head of title, "A present to L. C. Dunn [?] by a brother mason." Textually complete and generally good, though handled as shown; trimmed at some point and bound in a sammelband with remains at spine. Lacks final leaf which contained an anecdote relevant to the text, but not part of the Masonry ceremonies, etc., themselves.
