Glucose 5 % as Infusion or Carrier Solution

The glucose 5 % solution is primarily used as a carrier solution for compatible electrolyte concentrates and medication. In addition to infusion administration, if necessary with the required medicinal product, the solution can also be used for injection purposes as a carrier medium for a medication.

Due to the glucose contained and to avoid side effects, the maximum daily dose should be observed and, if necessary, the patient's blood glucose concentration should be measured or checked regularly.
