Handwoven vintage Persian rug

Handwoven wool low pile Persian runner rug. Measures 9’4”x3’4”. Features two central medallions with tribal evil eye motifs. This rug has a field of deep charcoal with hints of pinks, reds and marigold throughout. The rug is in good vintage condition.

In Persian tribal rugs, the evil eye motif is often integrated with other protective symbols such as stars, flowers, or animals. The repetition is believed to amplify its protective power. Beyond protection from the evil eye, these motifs can also symbolize good luck, spiritual protection, and the strength of the community.
