Robinair CoolTech™ CT15121A (236 L/min, dual-voltage) — a proven two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump built for licensed HVAC/R techs who need fast, consistent evacuation and fewer call-backs. It’s lightweight, tough, and the Iso-Valve™ lets you isolate the pump from the system in a quarter turn. Fair dinkum performance when the roof’s roasting and the job can’t wait.
We’ve all been there — up in Brisbane on a 38-degree day, chasing moisture that just won’t quit. The CT15121A’s two-stage stack and gas ballast get you down through the 1,000–300 microns zone smoothly, while the Iso-Valve makes leak isolation and rate-of-rise checks quick. It’s a bloody good way to keep schedules tight and jobs tidy. For more options, browse our Vacuum Pumps collection.
Open the gas ballast at the start of evacuation and close it around 1000–3000 microns to prevent water vapour condensing in the oil — then finish the pull-down. And change the oil after each job for consistent deep vacuums. She’ll be right if the oil’s right.
From humid Sydney basements to sun-baked rooftops in Brisbane, the stable base, angled drain and easy oil view help you keep things neat, safe and efficient. Too easy.

No — per Robinair, this series is not for flammable refrigerants. For A2L work, pick an A2L-rated alternative from our Vacuum Pumps category.
The factory rating is 15 microns. Real-world results depend on hose size, core removal, ambient conditions and oil quality — use a micron gauge to verify.
Best practice: after each job or whenever the oil looks milky/dark. Fresh oil dramatically improves pull-down and pump life.
Use a core removal tool, run large-ID vacuum hoses direct to the pump, open the gas ballast at the start, and verify with a quality micron gauge before charging. No worries.
