Handwoven wool low pile Persian runner rug. Measures 6’5x2’5”. Features a soft warm earty field and geometric triangle border. Shows tribal evil eye and tree of life motifs. This rug has pops of sage, browns and creams woven throughout. The rug is in good vintage condition.

The evil eye, also known as "nazar" in Persian culture, is a belief that certain envious or malevolent glances can bring harm or misfortune to the recipient. To ward off this negative energy, various cultures, including Persian, have developed protective symbols and talismans, such as the evil eye motif.
