The crisp still air of early morning allows the golden light of the rising sun on the Earl Mountains to reflect in Southland's Mirror Lake, just west of the Te Anau to Milford Sound Road in New Zealand's South Island. The slowly rising fog and the atmosphere of quiet calm in a place almost devoid of human interference brings to mind another world and the moon's "Sea of Tranquillity". This must surely be a finer place and one to preserve as "Tranquillity on Earth".
