Velodes® Silk

Velodes® Silk from Medisept is a ready-to-use, alcohol-based disinfectant for hands and surfaces and is ideal for hygienic and surgical hand disinfection. It offers an extended protection time of up to 3 hours during surgical disinfection and is bactericidal, yeasticidal, tuberculocidal and limited virucidal, including effectiveness against enveloped viruses, rotaviruses and noroviruses.

The disinfectant has a skin-friendly pH value, contains nourishing ingredients, and leaves no sticky residue on the skin. Velodes® Silk is particularly suited for use in healthcare, the food industry, public facilities and for disinfecting non-invasive medical devices. It is available in various sizes and contains 63.7 g ethanol and 6.3 g propan-2-ol per 100 g.

Spectrum of Efficacy

Instructions for Use

• Hygienic Hand Disinfection (EN 1500): Rub 2 x 1.5 ml of the product into hands for 30 seconds (2 x 15 sec).
• Surgical Hand Disinfection (EN 12791): Rub 2 x 1.5 ml of the product into hands for 3 minutes (2 x 90 sec). Ensure hands remain moist by adding more product as needed.
• Surface Disinfection: Spray the surface from about 30 cm away and allow to dry. Do not use on alcohol-sensitive surfaces (e.g., acrylic glass).
