Our Vintage Vitrine 'Emmer' is one of a matching pair of hardwood vintage vitrines c.1920, sourced and restored for us in Hungary using traditional techniques.

Pieces with these unique features are a very rare find. With fully glazed doors and glazed sides, this striking, ornate piece has been refinished in a very dark olive green waxed shade (almost black) to contrast beautifully with the natural wood interior. This piece also features charming wooden pegs and particularly lovely antique brass hardware. Perfect for kitchen storage, pantry or filled with books and treasures in a living space. 

We have been working with our lovely friends in Hungary for many years - a family run carpentry business where skilled craftsman return these beautiful pieces to their former glory and refinish them in our own bespoke colours with a wax finish, bringing them right up to date.
