A really beautifully produced facsimile on fine paper of the true first edition [1678] of Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress. Very attractively bound by B.H. Blackwell Ltd, Oxford in half crushed morocco with raised bands, subtle Arts & Crafts tooling, marbled endpapers, and top-edge gilt in gold. A lovely example.

Very good condition, leather freshly consolidated; linen boards are a bit handled. Textually exceptionally crisp and clean. Slightest foxing on foredge. Small fine inscription on ffep to Kingsley Driver upon his ordination [1938]. A superb copy.
